Note down these tips and items for a worry-free vacation!

Make a List

A suggestion of a list within a list, sounds boring? It may. But idiot-proof checklists are your gateway to a completely stress-free vacation. Here’s the tip! You need to separate the essentials from desirables and then jot down the list. Also, you need to be realistic when it comes to the luggage limitations. So, make a comprehensive list according to the number of family members and keep referring to it.

Categorize Your Clothes

We are skipping the clothing items because they vary from people to people. But here is a very useful tip. Pack your clothes in groups. Let’s simplify this. Pack shirts with shirts, pants with pants, and so on. You will see that it is way easier to find what you are looking for. Unpacking becomes easy too.

First Aid Kit

It’s always wise to keep a small bag with essential medicines and pills that are commonly used. Health conditions don’t see whether you are home or on a vacation. You don’t want to suffer from an excruciating headache, high fever, or a bad stomach and ruin all your vacation. You can’t try home remedies there. Plus, you should save yourself from the drill of finding alternative medicines in a different country. Or maybe they only give the medicines on prescription. So, do keep the common medicines along.

Power Bank

We all know how important our gadgets are for us. iPhones and other devices hardly have a battery life of one day. And we are so technology-obsessed that we cannot survive without our phones even for a couple of hours, let alone a day. You don’t want to walk around with your dead and useless gadgets, so get a power bank. Get a heavy power bank if your stay is for several days. And if it’s not for many days, you can get a normal one.

Skip Shoes

Shoes are perhaps the most frustrating items in the luggage. They are heavy and take a lot of space. The longer the vacation, the more shoes we tend to pack. But we would suggest packing a maximum of 3 pairs of shoes. It is a reasonable average a good, couple of weeks’ getaway. Versatility is more important than volume. So, make sure you don’t end up hiking in stilettos. To save space, stuff your socks in the shoes.

Noise-Cancelling Headphones/Earbuds

If you haven’t tried noise-cancelling headphones ever, you should! They are super comfortable and cancel most of the noise from around the aeroplane or a room. You don’t have to listen to the music essentially. You can turn the noise cancellation feature on and sleep comfortably. It works like magic.

A Good Camera

A camera is a must-have for every traveller. We would suggest taking an actual camera instead of relying on your iPhone or Android phone cameras. An actual camera, like a Nikon or Canon, gives a proper feeling of being on a vacation. The photos will be a thing to cherish all your life.

Observe Baggage Restrictions

If the airline says ‘20kgs’, it means 20kgs! Weigh your bags accurately before you go to the airport to avoid any last-moment hassle. If you don’t comply, you will have to pay extra cash or transfer your neatly packaged clothing into another bag. Also, make sure to save some bag space for your holiday purchases.
